Rosebud Rose

One of my unique one of a kind creations. This plate is made with a 10 inch vintage Minuet rosebud china, a 6 inch matching fruit bowl, matching coffee cup, tiny acrylic doorknobs ,lady bugs ,leaf earrings and a porcelain doorknob. They are put together by hand drilling the plates for extra stability. They also have a strong industrial adhesive that is waterproof and weatherproof.  They are put together with rubber washers bolts and nuts. These flowers never need watering or sun, but I do recommend that they be stored indoors in the winter. It is attached at the back with a nut and bolt. We include a copper pole and rebar for outside display. It can also be displayed indoors on a plate easel. Each plate is one of a kind and put together with repurposed plates, vintage glass and assorted baubles. My husband and I sourced these creations through auction, thrift stores and rummage. We had so much fun and learned so much about vintage dishes and glass along the way. The perfect combination of creativity and shopping two things I love. It is so sad to see abandoned china in the thrift store .Somebody’s treasure is now demoted down to thrift store. My husband and I rescued this lovely set of rosebud china by Yamaka called Minuet .This flower reminded me of Titanic’s Rose old-fashioned and yet elegantly modern for her time.  And so Rose was created.
