Hummingbird Summer

$55.00

One of my unique one of a kind creations. This plate is made with a 10 inch decorative dinner plate by Gibson, a 6 inch hand painted soup bowl ,a teapot top middle, and a hummingbird brooch. They are put together by hand drilling the plates for extra stability. They also have a strong industrial adhesive that is waterproof and weatherproof.  They are put together with rubber washers bolts and nuts. These flowers never need watering or sun, but I do recommend that they be stored indoors in the winter. It is attached at the back with a nut and bolt. We include a copper pole and rebar for outside display. It can also be displayed indoors on a plate easel. Each plate is one of a kind and put together with repurposed plates, vintage glass and assorted baubles. My husband and I sourced these creations through auction, thrift stores and rummage. We had so much fun and learned so much about vintage dishes and glass along the way. The perfect combination of creativity and shopping two things I love. My husband is a nut for hummingbird feeders This year was the first of our retirement and he put up quite a few.I can honestly say I never saw so many hummingbirds in my life. This plate was created to celebrate our little friends and so Summer was created.

Description

My plate flowers are created by assembling hand drilled plates together for extra stability. I also use a strong industrial adhesive that is waterproof and weatherproof.  Most plate flowers are put together with rubber washers bolts and nuts. These flowers never need watering or sun, but I do recommend that they be stored indoors in the winter. Some plate flowers are attached at the back with a nut and bolt and some have a bottle or hanger. We include a copper tube mounting stake assembly with select plate flowers that are constructed with the bolt and nut. Plate flowers can also be displayed indoors on a plate easel. Each plate is one-of-a kind and put together with items such as repurposed plates, vintage glass and assorted baubles. My husband and I sourced these creations through auction, thrift stores and rummage. We had so much fun and learned so much about vintage dishes and glass along the way. The perfect combination of creativity and shopping two things I love.
